An initiative by the Al-Razaq Vocational Centre in Chak Jamal, a small town with a population of around 25,000. Chak Jamal is 34 kilometres north of Jhelum city centre, 18km from the historical UNESCO World Heritage Site, Rohtas Fort and 113 kilometres south east of the capital city, Islamabad. The population of Jhelum Tehsil is 447,232. 60% of the population is between the ages of 0-29.

According to the Pakistan Education Statistics Report 2019-2020, the literacy rate for females aged 10 and above in Pakistan is 65.5%.

The gender gap in education remains a significant challenge in Pakistan. Only 45% of girls in Pakistan are enrolled in primary school, compared to 59% of boys.

The situation becomes worse at the secondary level, where only 32% of girls are enrolled in school, compared to 46% of boys.

The dropout rate for girls in Pakistan is also high, with many girls dropping out of school before completing their primary education. Poverty, early marriage, and cultural norms are some of the reasons why girls leave school early.

According to a report by UNICEF, girls' education in Pakistan is particularly low in rural areas, where only 22% of girls complete primary school.

Another challenge to girls' education in Pakistan is the lack of female teachers. According to the Pakistan Education Statistics Report 2019-2020, only 42% of primary school teachers are female.
